ALM / QC 11 – Import Excel tests that contain links

I have ALM/QC 11 and have installed the Excel add-in successfully. Many of my test cases in Excel contain hyperlink references to documents stored in Google docs. How do I get the hyperlinks imported into the design steps so all the tester has to do is click the link? Can that be done? Right now, they are being imported as flat text rather than hyperlinks.

If you take a look at the Microsoft Excel Add-in Guide, you will see the following on doing hyperlinks/URL for proper formatting:

To export a URL, save the URL in a shortcut file, and then specify the full file
path. You cannot enter a URL directly in the worksheet.

To have a specific url then you have to put the link file with url not the web address in your excel cell.

I see. Thanks. So it seems there's a limitation in that it's not possible to have an embedded link the QC memo field.
