The defect email hyperlink works fine when accessing through MS Outlook PC clients.
However, Outlook webmail (OWA), we get "This link has been disabled to protect your security."

I sent it to our email group to investigate and they are saying the url is mis-formatted to use for the webmail.

Is there a way to get this url formatted correctly so it works for both the fat client and webmail?

Unfortunately, your Exchange enterprise email web host does not recognize advanced and/or what Microsoft has defined as non-standard links. The real hyperlink is being stripped by your Exchange Server.

The web mail host replaces the HP link with the generic link https://youremaildomain/owa/UrlBlockedError.aspx.

It may be worth asking the email system manager open a case with Microsoft to see if there is a configuration option to all these links to be passed to the web mail client.

My understanding was that Microsoft was supposed to address this in Exchange 2010. Just tried it in my environment and the link is still replaced in the Exchange 2010 web mail client. :(

I just tried sending one to a google email address and the link was not replaced or stripped. So this is definitely a Microsoft Exchange issue.

Microsoft will try to tell you that this is a malformed url link. If this the case then the link would be replaced no matter the client web or outlook pc. That is Microsoft being cautious.
