Has anyone attempted to use QTP10 to record on JD Edwards applications? I know QTP does not have an add-in specific for JD Edwards but can any other add-ins used to allow QTP to record on JD Edwards applications? Thanks for your help!

What IDE is the application coded in? This could point you the right direction. Even if the application itself isnt specifically covered by a QuickTest Professional addin, the development environment could be. (for example Visual Basic, Windows Platform, Java)

You need Stingray add-in to work with grids in JDE.

In JDE XE, Stingray doesn't recognize the tables. Did you set yours up a certain way? When the Stingray add-in was installed, it requested that a Stingray object be identified. When I pointed it to a JDE XE grid, it said something along the lines of ''this object is too old to be recognized'', as if the Stingray add-in were too new to read JDE grids.

You could use the citrix protocol as the work around, granted the app will have to be installed on a citrix box, not ideal, but better than nothing.

Yes I am leading a JD Edwards automation project. We have successfully done the automation without any addins.
