Cannot update test field during manual test run.

We have 'Est Running Time (Min)' field in Test properties. While a tester execute a test script, at the end of the script, he should be able to add a value to 'Est Running Time' field. There are 2 problems. 'More' hyperlink is not available at the end of the test Bottomline – we are planning not to have the tester go to 'test plan' module, check out, input 'Est Running time' and check in. Rather, we want to see if that can be done on the fly.

This is a common misunderstanding regarding the difference between the Test entity and the Test Instance entity. Quality Center does not allow Test Plan fields to be updated directly from the Test Set. However, you may want to consider the following to determine if this is a viable alternate. Instead adding your User Defined Field to the TEST entity, rather add TEST INSTANCE entity. That way your User Defined Field is available in the Test Set Execution grid and can be updated before and/or after the test is run. Marked as spam
