Can’t check in some requirements on copied project

We recently copied a few Version Controlled projects. All seem fine but one which has an issue with the Requirements.

The issue is not with all but only some requirements.

When a user checks out certain requirements, ALM does not show the lock and indicate you actually check it out, so the check in is not present to be clicked. This means we cannot update anything to the requirements that have this problem.

We tried turning VC off for the project and back on, but that just wiped the history and did not address the problem. Also, trying a manual undo check out on the reqs in question does not seem to help either.

Hello,

First things that jump out to is ''copied'' and ''Version Control.''

I would imagine that not all of these requirements from the source project were checked in at the point of when the copy was made. Suggest making a new copy of the source project, but first validate that all entities are checked in. Take a look in site admin at the VC_ tables and the LOCKS table if you need identifying if anything is checked out.

New copy with all entities checked in should not give you the issue you are having. If new work has been created in the first copied issue project, you can keep it and copy over the new stuff to next source copy project you make. No data loss then. After, delete the first copy with the issue.

I see that looks to be the case. Looking at the original project, there are quite a few items checked out. I will have to take a look at those tables you mention via site admin.
