App server is Win 2012. DB is SQL. Client running on Win 2013.
I am tasked with copying large folders of test cases from 1 project to another. I need to preserve designer name, (and all other pertinent info) for the copy. How can I do this?

The information on how to copy and paste TestSet folders is located on page 530 of the user manual

When you are copying unless the related entites are already there you would not choose option 1 you would choose option 2 to ''Copy Test Set Folders and related entites'' that should bring over related entites with the copy.

You will need to keep the following in mind also...

1. To preserve usernames such as designer you will need to have added the user to the project being copied to otherwise all the user information will reflect the user that was logged in during the paste operation.

2. User defined field information will be copied however unless those fields have been added to the project where the information is pasted the information in those fields will be dropped also, any lists will also need to be created in the project where the paste is taking place.

3. New IDs will be created for the pasted entities
