When generating a QTP script from a manual script in QC, it generates with a generic template and only the Web add-in. I'd like to change this to have our custom template and have other add-ins available. Any help?

The Template10 default template for converting from Manual to Automated tests can be modified to suit your purposes. Just open the Template10 test from C:Program FilesHPQuickTest Add-in For ALM-QCbinTemplatesTemplate10 and modify as needed, then save. From that point on, all manual tests that are converted will use the settings that you've modified and saved.

The key to this is, when you generate the automated script from the manual, it must be done from a QC/ALM session that is on the same machine that the Template10 test was modified on.

In other words, if Joe modifies Template10 on his machine, John won't see the changes on his machine unless he modifies the Template10 on his machine as well.
