Delivering apps and add-ins through the ALM server?

Hello,

I was wondering if there was an easy way to deliver applications and other programs such as the add-ins  to the end user systems through the use of the ALM server delivery system and not have to set up a share drive location or email them?

Thanks,

HomerJ

Hello HomerJ,

By having the ALM administrator add applications that your users might need to access such as the Excel add-in, Word add-in, the client launcher.exe or other applications to the <alm url>/qcbin/Apps folder on the server allows them to gets delivered by the server to the users through the qcbin page by adding the /Apps/<file launcher/folder name> to the end of the <ALM URL> will allow the application to be delivered by the server to the clients user system and avoid the need for the need for a shared drive withe shared access, emailing the file to the users, or accessing the marketplace to get that needed file.  This also allows for the controlled ditribution of the correct version needed buy your end users,

Hope this helps,

Dan
