Despite the defects section of is running slowly after a project migration in ALM

Hello All,

We have just upgraded from ALM versions recently. Now, while we are able to create defects, all users have noticed that the application is running slower than expected and the mouse pointer is almost always showing busy when in the defects module only. This is something that we have noticed only in one project that we were using for testing only with a different synchronization tool and some different extensions added in. We are not using the synchronization tool anymore and only tested it on this one test project that we really don’t need anyway. Is there a way to remove the added extensions from the project?

Thanks,

HomerJ

Hello HomerJ,

Unfortunately these extensions can’t be disabled once they are attached to the projects and there are numerous warnings to this effect when applying them. The only fixes I have encountered are to recreate the project data into a newly created project without any unnecessary extensions applied to it. Since this is not a needed project I would recommend just creating a new project and then drag and drop any data that you may need from the other project into this new project. This makes sure that the extensions aren’t involved and any artifacts that may exist from the tested synchronization tool are not there as well.
