Error when trying to upgrade AutoPass!

Since we are running some tests on Win10 I need to update the license server to latest version in order to fix the problem with Windows KB3163018 update (so far we had to uninstall the update but we won’t be able to do that for much longer). I downloaded the installer (HPEAutoPassLicenseServer9.2.1), stopped the Autopass service, ran the windows x64 setup file, selected that I want to modify existing instance and then got error

"An error occurred when trying to manage the selected instance"

I’ll attach a screenshot of the error. What am I doing wrong? I tried running it with Admin rights and with the service running, but the issue persisted.

Instead of trying to modify the existing instance, go ahead and just uninstall AutoPass 8.3 from Windows > Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Backup your data directory as described in the prerequisites section of the ''HPE AutoPass License Server Migration.pdf'' document included in the AutoPass 9.2.1 installation files.

Follow the rest of the steps in the Same Host Upgrade section (basically, you will use your backed up data directory to overwrite the new one, except for file dbconfig.xml...otherwise, you'll need to reload your licenses and redo your configuration)
