Excel not working in new version of ALM?

  We recently upgraded our version of ALM and now since then the Excel add-in is not working anymore.  We use Excel quite extensively and it was working fine before, but now it is not working.  We have installed and registered the latest version of the client for our ALM version and installed the latest version of Excel add-in but it is still not working.


Any ideas what we might have missed??

Hello HomerJ,

I would ask if you have uninstalled the old ALM version of Excel add-in as only one version is allowed to be installed at a time. If you have more than one I would suggest uninstalling the old version and attempting the connection again. If this doesn't resolve the issue you may have to uninstall all versions and then restart your system, re-install the current version of the add-in and re-register the ALM client again to insure everything is correct (you will need administrator privileges to be able to register the client).

We checked the programs: add/ remove section of our windows control panel and did in fact have 2 versions installed. We now only have the correct/current version installed and the add-in is working again. Thanks for the quick reply. HomerJ
