Hello. Having an issue viewing attachments in ALM in the defects module. We are getting an error message on more than one client machine. Error message is "External component has thrown an exception"

I tried to see about an attachment to the test module and similar result, same message.

If the short time format on the client has been modified, it could cause this.

Look on the client under Region and Language settings.

Make sure short time is set to a predefined value and not manually edited.

Goto Additional settings under Region and Language settings and click on reset to reset to defaults.

After you do this, go to the %temp% directory on the client and delete the TD_80 directory (local cache).

Then login to the project from the client again in a new browser.

That fixed my issue. Just had to do default reset like you said for Region and Language settings.
