Hello. We would like to have the ability to use some sort of multi-select, to select from a list of requirements and assign the multiple requirements to a cycle without having to assign them one at a time, as this can be very time consuming. Is there a way that this can be done in ALM?

Hello. Unfortunately, the functionality to assign multiple requirements to a single cycle all at once is currently not available in ALM. I have found the following change request that has been filed with Micro Focus, and it is currently in a deferred state, meaning that they are unable to address the issue at this time, and it may be reviewed in the future as they evaluate the request against other business needs. I have entered the link below for the change request. If you like, you can register to receive email updates from Micro Focus if and when any change is made to the change request. I have found the following work around, which may or may not work for you. In order to use this work around, you will need to place all like requirements that can be assigned to a single cycle within the same parent folder in the Requirements module. Once you have all of the like requirements in the same folder, you can right-click on that parent folder, then select the cycle you wish to assign all of the requirements to. This option is available in the 'Requirements Tree' and 'Requirements Details' views. After assigning the requirements to the cycle, access the releases module, right-click on the cycle, and select 'Show Requirements' from the menu displayed. All of the requirements that were selected in the parent folder will be linked to the cycle.

Click the following link to view the change request that I previously mentioned.
