To install mtours on a new installation of ALM 12 or 12.01 you will first need to download the follow files

For mtours_data.zip:

Extract the file to the installation folder (default in Windows 2008 C:Program FilesHPALM)

For mtours_web_archive.zip:

***** You will need to shutdown the ALM Service for this step *****

1. Remove the current mtours directory located in the deployment configuration folder(default in Windows 2008 C:ProgramDataHPALMwebapps)
2. Extract mtours_web_archive
3. You should now have a folder mtours_web_archive inside the folder will be a mtours folder
4. Copy the mtours folder to the deployment configuration folder (default in Windows 2008 C:ProgramDataHPALMwebapps)

Next you will need to edit the following XML files:

web.ini:

1. Browse to C:ProgramDataHPALMwebappsmtoursWEB-INF(May be different if you did not use the defaults when installing)
2. Right-click web.ini and select Edit
3. Find the ''mtoursDBrepository'' param-name value and change its value to the directory where you extracted mtours_data.zip (default in Windows 2008 C:Program FilesHPALM)
4. Save the XML file

start.ini

1. Browse to C:ProgramDataHPALMserverconf(May be different if you did not use
the defaults when installing)
2. Right-click on start.ini and select
edit
3. If jetty-testrealm.xml is commented out (has a # in front of it) remove the #
4. Save the file

You will need to restart the ALM Service and then you should be able to open Internet Explorer and type http://:/mtours to access the mtours application.

Sorry, to correct that statement you will need to go to http://:/mtours replacing with your server name or IP address and replacing with the port that you use to access the ALM client (default 8080).
