As per my understanding
You can have licenses converted from ALM.net (regular ALM) to be used with Octane, the conversion factor works like this:
One ''regular'' ALM license -> One Octane Enterprise license See this page: https://admhelp.microfocus.com/octane/en/latest/Online/Content/GetStarted/license_editions.htm
One QC Enterprise license -> One Octane Pro license (this is kind of confusing since you would think that a QC enterprise license would equal an octane enterprise license but that is not the case)
If you are using an ALM license in your current environment you would also have the option to ''share licenses'' by creating a project in ALM.net specifically for the purpose of sharing licenses with octane. (as long as your ALM instance is version 12.21 Patch 5 or higher). Basically, you set it up in Site Admin. Then you tell your Octane instance where the license server is via the octane.yml file.
