While installing LoadRunner or Performance Center Host products version 12.55 on Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1, the installation fails with the error: "LoadRunner Agent Service has stopped working".

LoadRunner prerequisite tool is installing Microsoft VC++ 2015 redistributable as a prerequisite to LoadRunner products installation while suppressing reboot. It was found that suppressing reboot after installing Microsoft VC++ 2015 redistributable can be harmful for LoadRunner products installation because reboot is important for Microsoft VC++ 2015 redistributable installation to take effect on the OS. Recommendation: It is recommended to separately install Microsoft VC++ 2015 redistributable and reboot machine prior to launching LoadRunner products installation. To resolve: Continue installation (click ''Close the program'' on crash dialog window) and restart the machine. Uninstall the product and reinstall it. Marked as spam
