Not getting email notification when link HP-synchronizer synchronization fails

I have several links set up. For each one, I have entered in my email address on the advanced tab for failure notification settings. I have also selected the checkbox for Send notification when task passes with errors. Can you please advise why I am not getting emails when a link synchronization fails?

You might not have it setup for the HP-sync SERVER to know how to send email at all.

In HP-sync client, go to Tools/Options then to Email tab.

Under Email Settings, specify the details of the SMTP mail server you want to
use for sending notifications of link task run failures.

The following settings are available:

- SMTP Server. The SMTP server host
name.
- User name. The user name used to
connect to the mail server.
- Password. The password for the user
specified to connect to the mail
server.
- Sender. The email address for the
user from which the mail server
sends emails.

To Test:

Click the Test button to try sending a test email to an email address. The Test Mail dialog box
opens. Enter a valid address and click Send.
