After installing Patch 17, our defect automail is not being sent, we receive alerts automail and regular mail from QC but the defect automail is not sent..... we also see the following error in the SA logs which seems to be related: Messages: Failed to transform entity BUG #65 into XML document

Currently, defect emails rules are set to where an email should be sent to the individual when the Assigned and Status changes. But individuals are complaining that they are not getting emails when the defect is assigned to them.
