QTP 10.0 not recording Web objects

QTP 10.0 it is not capturing any web objects. Things I have tried: At times when I run a web application it captures the script but instead of the objects it shows me coordinates on the screen. Can you please advice as to what is the issue and its solution. Thanks!

Make sure QTP is open first, then open the browser and start recording. This is the most common cause. If the browser is opened already when QTP is loaded, it won't record against it. Marked as spam

Make sure you're not using 64bit IE8. QTP cannot recognize objects in it. Marked as spam
