QTP Essentials seat license not installing correctly in UFT 14.00?

I installed a QTP Essentials seat license on my new UFT14.00 software installation. It seemed to verify and install correctly, but when I restarted the software again, it gives me the trial message to continue using trial or install a key – if i try to do it again it says it is already installed.

I’ve already tried the following:

-confirmed correct Windows permissions (including r/w access for mic.ini and mercury.ini)

-re-installing the license as administrator…same message saying it’s already installed

-re-installing the license via command line (elevated command prompt)…same message

-Lower UAC on the machine

-Repair of UFT

Any ideas?

This is a bug, albeit harmless: The QTP-E license does indeed ''kick in'' after the 60-day demo/trial has expired in UFT14.00. This has been tested and confirmed (you can also see the QTP-E license seat license is resident in the UFT > About > License section). No need to worry.
