The main difference between a full and incremental sync is the ability to delete records from either endpoint, however a full synchronization also goes back and looks at **all** the records not just the ones that synchronizer detected changes in or that were created since the last sync.

Since this is the case sometimes the full sync will pick up on a few more changes that the Incremental sync might not have found. Full syncs take longer than incremental syncs, this is why many synchronizer users perform Incremental syncs throughout the day and then overnight perform a full sync just to make sure that nothing was missed.
