Regular expression on shared Object Repos works for on one instance of QTP but not another

Another scriptor has used a regular expression on a shared object repository in Quality Center. The regular expression read something like MyWebMethods.*

I am trying to highlight that same object on my machine from the Object Repository manager, but get "object cannot be found" error. When I add this same exact object without the regular expression, I can highlight this same object in the target application successfully.

Is there a setting which enables regular expressions in object repositories?

Yes, when you open the OR and select the object, click on the value that you are trying to make a regular expression and then select the Configure The Value icon <#> to open the Value Configurations Options. Once there, there is a checkbox to select for making the value a Regular Expression. You can also click the arrow by the Constant value at the top of the Value Configurations Options screen and use the Regular Expression Evaluator to ensure that your reg ex is configured properly and working as expected.
