Sprinter 12.01 error at end of run when updating to ALM

Using Sprinter 12.01, when finishing a test, we receive a message "An error occurred during the termination of the run" and when closed, Sprinter does not write any results to ALM so the test is not recorded as being run. Does not matter if test is a pass or a fail as the error still comes up.

I have validated user permissions from the user guide. We have this issue for tdadmin project admins, so all the permissions are in check.

Unsure then of the problem source.

I have seen your error of ''An error occurred during the termination of the run'' as well as ''ALM reported an unspecified error'' message during test creation and test run completion. While HP Sprinter install guides do not mention such things as having UAC turned off during install, or having an admin user doing the install, I have found that those two items often have a lot of bearing on how well Sprinter works.

User policy can differ substantially on what rights a user has, so its hard to pinpoint what aspect might be being handicapped if UAC was on or if an non admin did the Sprinter install. Again while HP does not specifically mention that UAC need be off or admin rights be required, I have seen the above errors resolved by fixing the above.

Suggestion then is to uninstall Sprinter from your control panel, then type in UAC and set it to never notify. Reboot the machine and then have an admin user login and reinstall Sprinter. That combination has cleared up the above messages many times that I have seen for affected users.
