Sprinter 12.20 does not include required Actual Result on test run from ALM

We require users to put in an Actual Result for a test run step. This is a means to help prevent mass pass/fail changes for sets. We have set Actual Result as a required field (ST_ACTUAL), which in ALM is red and required. If you don’t add a value you can’t advance. Sprinter though does not seem to recognize this required value. While I know Sprinter does not take into account workflow functions on field interaction and what not, required fields seems to have been valid in the past.

Hello, This seems to be a ''bug'' in Sprinter 12.20. I have seen this before for required fields that are part of a secondary pop up windows, such as the Actual Result window in Sprinter (same place you add a screen shot to step), which do not appear in Sprinter as required despite how ALM has them set. Good news is that this ''bug'' is not present in Sprinter 12.52/53. Suggest upgrading your Sprinter to a newer version. 12.52 has proven quite stable. 12.53 version of Sprinter is very new so any issues are not yet known. Be sure to uninstall your prior version of Sprinter, then install the 12.5x version. Have UAC off and I recommend installing with an admin user account. Marked as spam
