Sprinter mirroring does not seem to work for Firefox

Using mirroring features with Sprinter, I have tested with both Sprinter 11.52 and 12.01. With IE I am able to mirror my application for the most part (minus a few drop down menus that are not supported just yet) without issue.

However we also test for Firefox as many of our customers utilize this browser. When attempting mirroring for running a test in either version of Sprinter, I am unable to get Firefox to mimic any results on the secondary machine. The page will open to our app URL but that is as far as she goes.

Have checked, we use a supported Firefox version (tried v17 and others up to v27) but no go. I have even tried IE on the primary with Firefox on the secondary, but still not mimic of actions. End goal is to have Firefox on both primary and secondary, but can't quite seem to figure it out.

We are officially on Sprinter 12.01 so I would love to have it working for this version.

Hello,

There is an add-on in Firefox that you need to enable to get mirroring to work with Sprinter.

You mention v27 so here is how to find the add-on for v27.0.1 of Firefox.

1. Click on Firefox menu dropdown on top left (orange drop down)
2. Find Add-ons manage on the right part of the drop down menu and select
3. New tab opens, on left side find the Extensions selection and click on it
4. To right will be list of extensions. Should see the Unified Functional Testing Extension 12.0
5. Enable it by clicking on the Enable button to the rar right of the listing
6. Close out Firefox and reopen
7. Repeat action for Firefox on secondary machine.

At this point try your test run again with mirroring. Firefox should mimic at this point. The UFT extension is utilized as Sprinter and UFT use quite similar in the resources required, so the extension will and is required for Sprinter.
