We are currently using LoadRunner 12.01 with Windows 7 64-bit Operating System. We have an application that is validating on the UI level. The application does not support IE and the app is running only on Google Chrome (Version 57) . The are no service validations in the backend as all validations are happening on the UI for the services. Can you create script using Chrome? Any Input would be great.

In your current version of VuGen 12.01, the only protocol you can record a web application is the ''Web (http/html)'' protocol. When 12.01 was released the Chrome version that is supported is version 35. Now that Chrome is currently on version 57 or higher, VuGen 12.01 may or may not work with the current version of Chrome.

In order to create a script when using Google Chrome, you will need to upgrade to LoadRunner 12.53 patch 4.

For Chrome to be available to use in VuGen 12.02 for the ''Web (http/html)'' protocol, Chrome must be installed on the VuGen machine and Load Generator machines.

In VuGen 12.01, the TruClient protocol does not support working with Chrome.

For version 12.53 the versions of Chrome are the following:
* Web - HTTP/HTML protocol -Latest version of Chrome
* TruClient protocol - Chromium 46 (built into TruClient)

NOTE: For the TruClient protocol, the Chromium 46 browser is an open-source Web browser project from which Google Chrome draws it source code. It is used instead of the Chrome browser that may be installed on the machine. The Chromium that TruClient uses cannot be updated.
