Trying to use UFT UI Automation to identify objects against Windows Event Viewer (remote machine)?

We’re trying to identify objects using the UI Automation option under Object Spy.  Oddly, it’s working fine on my local machine, but when I try on another machine via RDP, none of the objects are recognized.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This might be an elevated permissions issue.  Like with any other application under test, UFT itself needs to match the permissions.  Sounds like you might be an administrator on your local machine and therefore are able to recognize Windows (administrator level) applications like Event Viewer using UFT UI Automation, but perhaps your permissions are different when remoting into your other affected machine.  Try running UFT as administrator (right-click the Desktop icon and select "Run as Administrator"), then see if you are able to open and test against Windows Event Viewer on your remote machine.

Ah okay, I see now that there was a mismatch between permission elevation of UFT and Event Viewer when I RDP in. Running UFT as administrator worked! Thank you!!
