UFT lockup instead of timing out on ALM run

I have a user who is running into another issue when running from ALM and UFT 11.53. When the script tries to populate an edit field it appears to lock UFT up. It looks like UFT is trying to access the object but sometimes the object isn’t there. In the past, QTP would just return an error after timing out, but UFT 11.53 just hangs up and the user has to kill the process and start over.

I ran across this as one of the issues listed as fixed in UFT 12.01. You might try upgrading to that version and see if the issue is fixed. This is listed as a known issue with UFT 11.5x - 12.00 on HP's KB: KM00822869 Marked as spam
