User getting error HRESULT: 0x800400D1 when view order set to Test: Subject in execution grid

A user reported that they could not view the Execution grid for any test sets. Attempting to do so generated a HRESULT error and threw them to another test lab tab. I did not have any issues until I configured my

filter identical to him. He has Test: Subject set to ^Subject\\RETAIL WEB\\GRID\\GridScrap^ and the View Order set to Test: Subject. The actual filter did not trigger an error for me but setting the View order did.

For me, it is not saving the filter due to the error so I am not getting stuck, but since it has this saved as the users filter and it kicks him out anytime he tries to enter the Execution Grid tab, he is unable to

clear the filter.

Please advise how this issue can be resolved.

The exact error is HRESULT: 0x800400D1

This is a known issue at HPE, ask your support engineer about QCCR1J83731 there is not currently a fix, but you can get rid of the saved filter for the user by removing them from the project then readding them to the project, this will clear their common settings. Alternatively you can also delete the common settings entry for that user for the test lab as I have illustrated below, this will get rid of the error for them.
