We have some users getting "locked out" of their tests getting "object is locked by" errors, and the locked by user is themselves. How do I release the lock on those tests?

Soapy,

This probably happened when the user's PC or internet Explorer crashed while they were editing a test in QC.
In Site Adminstrator you can ''disconnect'' the user session for that user - this will clear out any locks they had.

That's not totally true, although it may be with the Tests, but if this happened in a defect, them being disconnected, logged out, and/or IE restarted does not help. Generally, the LOCKS table holds the lock for that defect and you have to go in through Site Admin to expand the project and get to the LOCKS table. The query: Delete FROM LOCKS where lk_object_key= Will clear the lock and allow the user to re-access and update the defect. It will lists Tests in the LOCKS file also although we've not had issue with users reporting locks there.
