Using a Proxy

I have read about using a proxy quite a bit lately. Why would I need to use a proxy for my LoadRunner Scripts? Please give an example

You will use the proxy recording method any time you need to record on a platform that does not have Vugen installed. Two basic situation:

1. You want to record a business process; but, you cannot install Vugen on the client machine. For example: recording on an Apple, Linux, or Unix platform.
2. You want to record your business process on you IPhone or Android device.

With the Proxy recording method, you setup Vugen to record via a proxy and then record the script on the proxied platform.
