We currently have our ALM12.21 Server on a VM within VMWare ESX and we also have VMWare Horizon formerly called View). With Horizon, we create a "master" VM (Windows 7) and use a tool in Horizon that replicates the "master" into many "Client" VM’s htat our end-users would use. We do this with other software an it works fine.
When we try it with QC, we can get the "Master" loaded and working with IE32 QC client, but after replication, it fails with an error:

Initialization has failed. Contact your system administrator.

For details, see the Loader log file.

Failure details:

Failed locating (here it gives the NETWORK path to the Appdata\\Local\\HP\\ALM-Client folder – NOT on Drive C:).

We know we have all of the required rights, we just cannot get it working on the end-clients.

IF you look at the HP/HPE System Requirements for QC/ALM (here - https://hpln.hp.com/page/alm-qc-enterprise-technical-specifications), for ALM 11.52-12.53 the only VM technology supported is ESX/ESXI, NOT Horizon (it is not listed - obviously why it does not work).

You know it supports having QC/ALM SERVER running on a VM in ESX/ESXi, so, Try this instead:

Manually created a Win2008 or 2012 Server VM to use for the Client users (One server VM/multiple users of that VM) and it will work.
