Defect not linking to test instance in ALM

When our testers run a test and create a defect during that run it does not show in the linkages when we look at the test instance in the test set, how can we make this work?

This is a common ''issue'' it is not what is called a ''direct link'' linkages such as these will show up under ''All Links'' This is actually expected behavior, when you link to a test step it does not show the linkage because it is linked to the ''test step'' entity in ALM and not the ''Test Instance'' See the below posts as well: https://eyeontesting.com/questions/11180/linked-defects-not-showing-next-to-test-instances.html https://eyeontesting.com/questions/7871/defects-not-showing-when-added-during-a-step-run.html Marked as spam
