Are special characters allowed within admin account passwords in ALM?

Hello Everyone, We are setting up a domain service account as requested for our ALM server installation. We are wondering if there are password and username limitations on the characters to be used within them? Thanks in advance, HomerJ

Hi HomerJ, I recently have encountered issues when installing ALM 15.5.1 patch 1 onto a system when using Windows Authentication for the DB server connection. We were unable to install the software using the predefined service account because it was not completing correctly. We determined that the service account wasn’t accessing correctly. As a workaround it was required by the Microfocus engineers involved to avoid the following - '>', '<' ,'|',''',""", "&" . Those characters can change the behavior of the ALM installation scripts.
