Can you change the default for an Excel Report from XLS to XLSX?

We are using the old Excel to create a Query Based report in the Analysis View. The default for the type of file for this report is XLS, is there a way to change this to XLSX since we are using Office 365?

GoDawgs, Yes, you can change the default of an Excel Report, but only if you change to using the Business Views Excel Report. There are limitations involved when using the old, legacy Excel reports. This is one of the reasons that the Business Views Excel Add-in was created. When you use the Business Views Excel Reports, it determines what version of Office you are using, and creates the default accordingly. Since you are using Office365, it will default to XLSX instead of XLS. Happy testing! Marked as spam
