Error that another instance of the Configuration Wizard is running for ALM?

Hi,
We are encountering an issue when trying to run the configuration wizard for our ALM installation as we would like to make some changes and have everything redeploy. We started the Configuration Wizard and the system reports and error that another instance is currently running. We have stopped the services, we have checked and not other programs are running in task manager. We even restarted the system and the issue still exists. We are unsure how to get around this issue?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
HomerJ

Hi HomerJ,
It seems like there might be something wrong with the configuration files. There is a KM article HP put out about this issue (KM1007386: https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM01007386).

HP's recommendation is to:
Delete all config files under C:Program DataHPALMconf

then try to rerun the configuration wizard and it should work after that. I have seen this fix instituated before and it resolved the issue.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Thanks that allowed us to continue without an error being displayed by the system.
