How come the tests don’t run in the correct order?

Hi,
We have added several tests to a test set and they don’t run in the order that they are defined within the test set. How can we get the tests to execute in the order we would like to have them (such as the order we have added them to the test set)? We find that the tests are presented in whatever order they seem to come up when running the test set.

Thanks for any help.

Hi HomerKJ,
By default there is no set order that the tests will execute with. If you would like to order the test set you select the test set and then within the Execution Flow tab on the right side you create dependencies or orders that the tests are to be executed in. These orders can even be dependencies such that subsequent tests only execute after a the prior test, passes or completes, so that the test will only run under certain conditions of the execution of the prior test.

I hope this helps and resolves the issue you are experiencing,
Dan

Thanks, ordering the tests worked to resolve the issue we were having. It is also nice to know that the tests can be executed conditionally as we may have need for this in the future. Thanks for the assistance.
