How to remove HPE AutoPass service if I don’t have hpLicService.bat & files anymore?

I’m trying to upgrade my APLS to the latest version, but during the uninstall, I received the error message, "Failed to remove the service HP AutoPass License Server. Please refer the user guide to remove the service manually."

Problem is, the user guide says to run `hpLicService.bat remove` from my /bin folder, but the uninstaller already removed all the program files! I still see the service in my Windows Services. How do I get rid of this so I can install the new version without any conflicts?

Here's how to uninstall the ''HPE AutoPass License Server'' Windows Service via the registry:

1. Run Regedit

2. Make a backup of your registry (Registry Editor > File > Export > Export range: All)

3. Go to the registry entry `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services`

4. Locate registry key folder `hpLicSrv` and delete

5. Reboot
