Is there a way to limit the amount of users logged in at a time?

Hi,

We recently got audited and they found we went over by once license, one day the last few years. Our account manager said there is nothing we can do to limit the amount of users logged in at a time. Is this true?

Is there any custom code we can add that limits users connecting when the max licenses are used up?
We already have a timeout on users who are idle for 30 minutes.

We are trying to prevent it from happening again in the future.

I have actually been asked this question before. I created a case and asked (at the time HPE) and the response that I was given was that there was no way to use workflow to stop users from logging into the system. The reason is that the workflow is not run until after the user logs on.

Even if you create workflow that disconnects the user the login will still have taken place.

QC Ent should not allow more connections that you have a license for however, QC and ALM do not enforce the geographic restrictions (ex. Site, Area, Global). There have been several enhancement request that have requested that QC and ALM enforce the Geographic restrictions on the licenses but all of these requests have been differed by HPE and MicroFocus.
