Loadrunner Analysis Hangs While Processing Results

While processing results from a 24 hour performance run Loadrunner Analysis hangs while processing the data. This is not the first time that this type of run has been performed and had no problems getting the results.

Is there some what to retrive the results other than via the Analysis tool? If not what could be the reason for it hanging?

This is a long test, chances are there are a lot of transactions to analyze. Are you positive the machine is hung? In my experience it may seem to be doing nothing at a certain point, but after a few hours it will come back with the results.

If you are on LR9.50, first upgrade to LR 9.52.

Then go to Start ---> All Programs ----> LoadRunner ---> Applications ----> Analysis

In Analysis (blank one) set the following settings:

Under the Tools -> Options -> result collection select ''Generate complete data only.''

Under the Tools -> Options -> Database-> Advanced -> Uncheck checkboxes ''Create separate threads for inserting Analysis data into SQL database''

Close Anlaysis.

Then go to the script folder and click on the .lrr file.

For analyzing a large result set such as this, you should also do the analysis on a machine with 3GB or more of memory. Especially if the .MAP file is greater than 10MB.

It may still take a few hours to load when analyzing a result set this large. The progress bar may seem to hang between 5% and 10% while the analysis tool is loading the .MAP file. Be patient.
