The xml file could be incomplete and terminated incorrectly. This could be from a QTP crash or the test is still running. In my case I had a large test and memory problem with my code. Dismissing no longer needed objects solve my problem. Another possibility is the application you are testing has a memory issue and is not released it during the test runs.
