We’ve been upgrading our Windows 10 build 1903 to Windows 10 build 1909 and now our UFT scripts won’t run. Has anyone seen this? Is there a remedy? UFT will launch but the scripts won’t execute.

This is a known issue, you can see it documented at https://softwaresupport.softwaregrp.com/doc/KM03555363. Basically sometimes a Windows upgrade can cause some COM objects to get de-registered, which can break UFT functionality. Simple fix is to repair UFT.

The KM says,
"There is no issue to UFT but when starting the replay, UFT doesn't replay scripts. The root cause is some COM objects were unregistered by Windows update. Therefore some COM objects from UFT need to be registered again. For that, the solution to fix the issue is repairing UFT. Once repairing UFT, everything works fine with UFT.

It is about the OS issue. Until MS solves the issue there is nothing we can do except repairing UFT."
