Users in ALM overriding older users

New users added to ALM will often write over previous user in site admin area which causes confusion among users when defects or test cases are updated. It seems that a new user (no matter if added at project level or Site Admin level) will often clash with previous user information. For example: user john.brown is now on the line where jane.doe once was and the email address and user name are shared. In the project USER table they are okay, but new users will often get email not for them.

This can usually be attributed to a bad value in the ''sequences'' table of the site admin database and previous users are getting overridden. The sequence value for users should be the same value as the highest user value so in the site admin db check the USERS table for the highest USER ID and put that as the value for the ''User_SEQ'' in the sequences table of the site admin db.

NOTE: Before making changes to the SiteAdmin db always backup the database in case anything was to go wrong also consult with a support engineer before making any changes
