I have read about using a proxy quite a bit lately. Why would I need to use a proxy for my LoadRunner Scripts? Please give an example

You will use the proxy recording method any time you need to record on a platform that does not have Vugen installed. Two basic situation: 1. You want to record a business process; but, you cannot install Vugen on the client machine. For example: recording on an Apple, Linux, or Unix platform. With the Proxy recording method, you setup Vugen to record via a proxy and then record the script on the proxied platform. Marked as spam
