Using SSO in ALM 12.60?

Hello,

We are currently using ALM 12.60 patch 2. Today we’re using LDAP for authentication, but a trend of getting applications to authenticate using SSO is occurring. We use Ping Federate for an SSO provider. Can you please provide guidance on how we would accomplish that initiative with our current setup?

Thanks,

HomerJ

Hi HomerJ,
Unless you are planning an upgrade, the current status of ALM 12.60 is as follows according to the guide:  "Currently, ALM supports one type of SSO authentication, SiteMinder."

In the later versions of ALM they are supporting more types of single sign on.  The documentation resides here so you may research if this is something you are interested in performing:

ALM 15.0x:

ALM 15.5x:

https://admhelp.microfocus.com/alm/en/15.5-15.5.1/online_help/Content/security_guide_main_page.htm
Upgrading your ALM version is the only way to use your current SSO provider with ALM or you would need to institute SiteMinder for your SSO as currently these are your only options.
Hope this helps,
Dan
