Windows 10 IE/QC Client displays clipping when display DPI set to 150%

We just rolled out an upgrade to our PC’s (laptops and desktops) ending up with Windows 10 (not creators ed.).
Back with QC11.52, we discovered that we could increase the Windows DPI setting (make text and images larger) under the rt-click Display settings from the Windows desktop.
On Win7, 8, it shows "DPI" scaled from 100 to 200% with a slider and mentions "DPI", and in Windows 10, it is called "customize your Display" and adjusting th e"size of text, apps, and other items" just shows a slider.

With Windows 7, we could use the 150 setting and still get QC to show a zoomed (and scaled) QC client.

Now, with Windows 10, the QC client works fine without setting the "zoom"/DPI setting (still 100%), but on a small laptop screen (instead of a 20" monitor), it is unbearable and very hard to red the tiny text.
So, when we set the zoom/DPI to 150%, as we did previously with Win7 on the SAME laptop, it zooms, but when viewing the IE/QC Client, it clips the text and is hard to read.

Any ideas?

This is a strange one, but expected.

If you look at the HPE System Requirements for QC/ALM going back many versions to QC/ALM11,

It clearly states that it will only work with 100% DPI setting.

Apparently, this limit was not noticed until now when something changed in the IE/DPI scaling settings internally to Windows 10. QC/ALM does not ''scale'' the text the same way and results in ''clipping''. Basically, the text is getting larger, but the ''cell''/box on the page is not, so results in chopped off text.

HPE currently has no solution for this and still considers this a a **''limitation''.**

There IS a **workaround,** though:

Use the **ALM Explorer** (stand-alone QC client), which is available from Tools/More Add-ins.
For some reason, this is scaling as expected when DPI is set to 150% (or whatever you set it to).
