How to create filter button on HP ALM dashboard

How can we create filter(release,cycle) button on dashboard to get assigned defects to particular cycle or release.

Attached screenshot is from test lab i am looking for same filter in Dashboard.

Appreciate if any one help on this by providing workflow.

By default ALM/QC Dashboard does not have that functionality.  It would be extremely complex, as the filter object would need to connect to an undetermined number of graphs per dashboard, each with its own filter needs.Also each chart has the ability to filter / sort data as needed.

Typically you create a set of graphs in the Analysis View, with the filters set to the specific Release and Cycle.  E.g. Rel 1, Cycle 1.  Then create a Dashboard called "Rel 1 & Cycle 1".  When you move to Cycle 2, you copy the Analysis folder for Rel 1, Cycle 1 to Rel1, Cycle 2 update the filters as needed and then create a Dashboard called "Rel 1 & Cycle 2".
