ALM Service Error message – Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly

Hello. We recently upgraded java on our server, and now receive the following error when we try to start the service. Windows could not start the Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

Hello. I have seen this before. It occurred after Java had been updated on the ALM server, and the previous version that was associated with ALM had been removed. You can check this by comparing the version of Java installed on the server, to the version that is displayed in the ‘Value’ field for the MICRO_FOCUS_JAVA_PATH system variable. If the two are different, you will need to go into the environment variables and point the MICRO_FOCUS_JAVA_PATH variable to the new Java folder. After you have corrected the folder path, restart the ALM service. I hope this was helpful! Marked as spam
