Requirement to Capture ”Client Rendering / End User Response time”

We have a client requirement to capture "Client Rendering/ End User Response time" for an application that involves AJAX/java script based calls. Since the application involves AJAX/Java script based calls, the "Client Rendering" time
will also be high apart from "Server" response time.

Is it possible for LR to report "Client Rendering/ End User Response time" rather than "Response time from Server". My understanding is that LR only reports "Server side Response Time" from the Analysis component taken out as "Average
Response Time"

It is only possible to capture ''Client Rendering/ End User Response times'' using the AJAX Truclient protocol.
All other protocols will not.

You can do this 2 other ways than using True client, though that is the best way if you can do it.

The first is using GUI Vuser that runs a QTP/UFT script. You can add transaction timers to the script. This has the advantage of true rendering time including graphic displays on the browser of choice, as opposed to the LR browser component.

The 2nd method would be to use a Citrix or Terminal Server (RDP) VUser. This one is usually scalable so you can get lots of data points. These scripts tend to be harder than average to make them stable under load, but you can run them against any app including various browsers.
Good Luck :)
