Is there a way to hide a Defect tab without deleting the user field? I need it to disappear from the Defect grid screen as well as the Defect Details.

We are running QC 10. We are raising defects while manually running tests, which automatically links the defect to the run and the test step. Can both LDAP & QC Authentication be enabled at the same time? We users which are external to our Active Directory LDAP. We would like to give access. If they are not in LDAP they are unable to access QC - any workarounds?
